Video Description: Get Access to Real Live, Real-time Surgery Support
_________________________________________________________________________________

Chelsea Rogers: Hello, everyone. I'm Chelsea Rogers with the "Wireless Dealer" magazine. Here at CTIA, Super Mobility Week 2014. I'm here with Chris, with Phone Surgeons. How are you, Chris?

Chris: Doing great. Thanks, Chelsea.

Chelsea: Great. Thanks for being here. Chris, give our viewers a little bit of information or background on what your company does.

Chris: Phone Surgeons. We founded the brand about three and a half years ago. We were born inside the wireless dealer space. I used to be a Verizon dealer. I had some franchise stores throughout the Midwest. We recognized the growing epidemic of broken smart phones out there and wanted to better serve our clients.

We want to be able to provide that value-added offering in our stores. When someone came in with a broken phone, we wanted to be able to say, "Yes." We started doing repair in our stores. Started seeing a lot of success. We expanded that into a training and certification program to help support other dealers capitalize on the same opportunity.

Not only was it a revenue and a profit driver in those stores, but it also became a significant incremental traffic driver. Fast-forward to today, I exited the wireless business to focus on scaling Phone Surgeons. We're really excited to announce we just kicked off the franchise arm for the brick-and-mortar retail stores, the Phone Surgeons emergency room, if you will.

We do continue to support the dealer network with the training and certification program, as well.

Chelsea: That's great. That's very exciting. Tell us, what makes you guys different from your competitors out there, would you say?

Chris: I'm sure I sound biased, but the brand. I think the brand's very powerful. It resonates with consumers. Our uniforms in our stores are scrubs or the lab coats. It is a powerful brand. It's one that we aspire to build the most trusted, most recognizable brand in the industry and one that becomes synonymous with phone repair.

In addition to our brand, strategic partnerships. I don't come from that technical background. We've got a lot of experience in the space, but I come from a business development background, a franchising background. Leveraging some relationships over the past years, we've built a lot of great strategic partnerships.

For instance, Wireless Accessory Group became our parts partner. We license our brand to them and helped them launch their parts division. Such as one of the many strategic partners we have that really adds a lot of value. Whether it's someone wanting to open a Phone Surgeons store or someone that's looking to supplement their existing wireless business with a repair offering.

Chelsea: That's wonderful. How do you guys actually help with the dealer?

Chris: That training and certification program I mentioned. What we did is we streamlined the process. We focus on the basics, what they see 90 percent of the time, walking in those stores. We run the gamut with iPhone repairs. We teach some iconic Android device screen replacement.
It's only a two-day certification because we recognize a lot of these, there may be a sales rep they're cross-training to be a technician. We want to have a minimal impact on their existing business. We streamlined the process to two days. It's only a $299 price point. We're running a CTIA show special that is $100 off, so it's only $199.

That two-day certification gets them in and out and they're confident in their ability to repair, following the class. We also offer some ongoing support. They can get access to real live, real-time surgery support, if they have a question or a new device launches. They can access our senior surgeons via Google Hangouts for that video support.

Chelsea: That's great. That definitely sounds wonderful. Why don't you tell our viewers one more time where they can find out more information about you guys?

Chris: Phonesurgeons.com. You can find out information on franchising. There's a link to Phone
Surgeon parts and Wireless Accessory Group on there. We'd be happy to help.
